A new exhibition at Wakefield Museum celebrating a proud local tradition of sports manufacture. Visit Playmakers to discover how Horbury was the centre of high quality, high tech sports design for over 100 years. From William Sykes Ltd to Dunlop Slazenger, many innovative and iconic products were developed and made in Horbury.

See one of the famous orange footballs made for the 1966 World Cup finals and a pioneering tennis racket used by Steffi Graf. Admire the craftsmanship of many different sporting goods from 1880s to 1986.
